Eco-Logics donates Naïade Purification Units for Ghana
The Amsterdam entrepreneur Rob Bos, director of Eco-Logisch, a leading (web)shop for environmental friendly materials which can be used in and around the house, has decided to support the Dutch aid organization Equal Opportunity Fund Ghana in their struggle for safe drinking water for some communities in northern Ghana.
In his Eco-Logisch shop and on his website www.eco-logisch.eu Mr. Bos has set up a charity action which enables visitors of his shop to donate money to expand the number of Naïade water purification units which are in use by EOF Ghana.
The chair of EOF Ghana, Mrs. Annie Manders, has personally promised that every eurocent will benefit the Ghanaians in northern Ghana.
At present, a lot of communities in Northern Ghana suffer from water related diseases such as cholera, typhoid, but also guinea worm. The use of the Naïade technology enables them to obtain safe drinking water which fulfills the World Health Organisation standards without any environmental burden since it is powered by solar energy and uses state-of-the-art UV for the final disinfection.
If you are interested in these projects and want to support Mr. Rob Bos and Mrs. Annie Manders, please, visit www.eco-logisch.eu or www.eof-ghana.org
Naiade is designed, developed and supplied by the Nedap from the Netherlands. It is very easy to operate and very cost-effective to maintain. It can operate without grid electricity and provide safe drinking water at the rate of 250 lit/hour. It is a unique solution for providing safe water to the whole community.
